In my practice, I take a trauma-informed, person-centred, and feminist-informed approach, recognising the ways that power, gender, and social structures can influence people’s experiences and wellbeing. I draw on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based and solutions-focused approaches, attachment-informed practice, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques. I tailor my approach to the unique needs of everyone, creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and work towards meaningful change.
I work with teenagers and adults who may be experiencing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, OCD, ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence. I also support people navigating mood disturbances, social anxiety, anger management, and the impacts of PTSD. In addition, I have a strong interest in working with issues related to sexual health and wellbeing, including sexual function and dysfunction, identity, and self-esteem. My focus is on creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where individuals can explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and work towards meaningful change.
I am someone who values connection, curiosity, and balance in life. I love spending time with my dogs, exploring the outdoors, and finding joy in simple moments! I enjoy reading, learning new things, and engaging in activities that allow me to be creative and present. Friends and family are important to me, and I try to approach life with warmth, empathy, and a sense of humour.
